Is EMS Training Okay After An Athletic Injury

1. University Of Bayreuth Study

A German university study claimed that people who used EMS twice a day for six weeks raised their muscular strength by around 12.2 percent. Discussing it in percentile terms, there is a 69% increased recovery. Women went on to get better results compared to men. 

They also ended up reducing 0.4 cm on their things. This is a significant development from the point of view of both recovery and rehabilitation. This is good news for athletes. 

2. University Of Erlangen-Nuremberg Study

The University of Nuremberg studied and monitored the effectiveness of the EMS study. It was found that people who persistently used EMS training gained 4% muscle strength and lost a little bit of body fat. 

Apart from the positive observation, some negative observations kept the efficacy dangled. 

There have been reports of skin irritation and burns through the continuous use of EMS kits or equipment. 

Physicians warn people with a pacemaker not to use EMS training as it might be harmful to their bodies. Furthermore, physicians advised that pregnant women should stay away from using EMS training because it creates heat and muscle stimulation.
