CoolSculpting Sessions

If you’re plagued by fat that does not go away from dieting and exercise, don’t despair. You can still manage to get rid of the excess fat permanently. You can accomplish this feat through a process known as cryolipolysis, better known as CoolSculpting Sessions

CoolSculpting Sessions is a non-surgical and non-invasive fat reduction therapy that uses cold applications to get rid of fat in specific areas of the body. Freezing fat cells gets rid of the bulges that are resistant to diet and exercise.

Most popular cosmetic facilities like Sculpt Spa offer this trending fat removal process that uses an FDA-approved technology. When this process is used, the site that is targeted eventually shrinks about 25%. This makes the process a top choice for trimming and toning and looking one’s best.

So, how does this happen?

Applying cooling to an area of troublesome fat is done with a device that applies the cold using a process called cold-assisted lipolysis. The device removes fat from areas such as the inner and outer thigh, the stomach, the submental area (below the chin), and from the flanks (love handles). People with a body mass index (BMI) of 30+ benefit from the procedure.

The Length of the Treatment Process

You only need to go through one or two sessions that are about 35 minutes each if you’re getting fat removed from the abdomen. Usually, sessions last from 35 minutes to 60 minutes, depending on the area you choose to treat.

Adding an Extra Session

Some patients want to add an extra session, so, in total, you might undergo one to three sessions. However, most people are happy with the results after one session. That’s because you begin to notice a positive change after a couple weeks. Further shrinkage is noted  after one to three months.

How Does Coolsculpting work?

A cooling applicator is applied, using vacuum pressure, to draw subcutaneous fat into the cooled panels of the device. You may feel some pulling and tugging sensations but you won’t experience pain. Usually the temperature is set at about 39 degrees Fahrenheit or 4 degrees Celsius.

After a session, you may experience some coolness and pressure, which normally subsides after 10 minutes. Patients may experience redness, swelling, slight bruising, or stinging, which fades after a short time.

While a coolsculpting session will shrink and get rid of fat from a body area permanently, it should not be used to replace regular diet and exercise. To maintain a thin physique, you still need to watch what you eat and work out regularly.

What Happens to the Treated Fat Cells?

The treated and frozen fat cells at a treatment site crystalize, then die. They exit the body through the urine.

Scheduling a Consultation

Before receiving the cold application therapy, you will need to consult with the spa to determine if you’re the right candidate. Once you’re given the go-ahead, you can schedule a session at a time that is convenient for you.
