What is involved?

Anatomy & physiology

• Basic understanding of the digestive and urinary systems
• Introduction to the 3 main types of output stoma - colostomy, ileostomy, and urostomy
• Basic understanding of the conditions that lead to stoma surgery and how lifestyle can play a role in prevention of these conditions

Positive Living

• Discussion of some commonly held beliefs about stomas
• Myth-busting – challenging some of these beliefs and encouraging participants to think about stomas in a positive light

Question & Answer session

Where does it take place?
Either in the training room at Ostomy Lifestyle in Reading, or at your own premises

What will it cost?
